On behalf of the entire Columbia College Hollywood Community, we want to congratulate and welcome you to the CCH family! Starting this December, you will take the first of many steps on the remarkable journey ahead of you. We want to assure you that you have a strong group of cheerleaders, supporters, mentors, and advisors here to help you make the most of your time.
Orientation marks the start to students’ CCH Orientation Experience, a program designed to help students explore their new community. The CCH Experience is divided into three sections: Pre-Orientation Workshops, The Community Experience and LA Experience.
CCH will host an array of workshops on topics related to finance, health and safety, diversity, career services and academic resources.
As part of your orientation experience, new students are required to attend three Pre-Orientation Workshops. We encourage you to attend as many as you are able. Register for events of your choice through the form on the side of the page.
New Student Orientation is designed to introduce you to your new campus community. You’ll have the opportunity to learn strategies for adjusting to college life, and establish relationships with your peers, faculty and student support staff.
Learn how to manage your finances during your first year in college. Topics include information about bill payments, financial aid and how to formulate a personal budget for living expenses.

The CCH Career Development team will review their specialized strategy for student success, specifically as it pertains to the entertainment business. The session includes an overview of the pathway, focusing on networking, internships, and resume/ portfolio development.

An interactive workshop that will delve into the ways that we unconsciously perceive others as separate and different, and the ways we may unconsciously act upon those biases. Students will have the opportunity to discuss the importance of unity in one’s personal journey, increase awareness of inherent bias in society and Identify ways to consciously explore personal bias.
