Niche, described as “the most accurate, transparent, and complete college search tool on the internet”, recently recognized the strong cinema program at Columbia College Hollywood as #5 in their rankings of the 2020 Best Colleges for Film and Photography. Ranked in the top 5 with longtime staples in arts culture and film education, Columbia College Hollywood and its Chicago campus Flashpoint Chicago are among the creative elite based on data from the U.S. Department of Education including key statistics as well as student and alumni reviews.
The Overall Niche Grade is calculated based on statistics and student feedback that addresses the entire student experience. Niche calculates grades for categories like value, diversity, academics, professors, campus quality, student life, safety, and the local area based on rigorous analysis of academic, admissions, financial, and student life data. Niche survey responses are scored on a 1-5 scale regarding the overall experience of students and alumni who majored in Film and Photography. According to Niche, “[to] be included, the school must confer at least 20 bachelor’s degrees in the field annually or have the major represent at least 2.5% of all bachelor’s degrees conferred by the school.” The most recent data is obtained from the U.S. Department of Education.
