Columbia College Hollywood Blood Drive – October 18th

No, this isn’t a call to all vampires out there…..CCH in conjunction with the Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive to help those in need on Tuesday, October 18th in the living room set area in the CCH Lobby from 1pm-7pm.

Donating blood is a great way to help those in need. Did you know that the Red Cross has been collecting blood since 1940? Each day, the Red Cross provides blood donation services that have saved thousands of lives. According to the Red Cross, every 2 seconds someone in the US needs blood due to trauma. The good news is that just one donation has the potential to save up to 3 lives!

Columbia College Hollywood is always looking for ways to give back to the community and make a difference.

If giving blood makes you a bit squeamish or if you are deferred and unable to physically donate, the Red Cross offers a few suggestions so that you can take part in this awesome cause and still help:

Getting informed and involved is a great way to help your community and raise awareness for this great cause.

To schedule your blood donation appointment visit: and enter the CCH Sponsor code: CCH. You can also sign up to donate in the office of our Registrar, LaVona Thomas on the CCH campus.

This blog is a collaborative effort by CCH staff and administration who want to share their knowledge with the film school community and prospective students.
