CCH Guest Speaker Series: Producer Arianne Fraser

Columbia College Hollywood is excited to announce their informative Q&A panel with Producer and co-founder of Highland Film Group, Arianne Fraser, in CCH’s Theatre on Thursday, October 6th at 7pm.

Arianne Fraser is a Producer and Film Financer who has her own unique approach to film sales and distribution. Her passion for creating quality commercial packages plays an integral role in not only getting films financed, but also to a worldwide audience base

Arianne’s first experience in the Entertainment business was in 2005 as an Associate Producer on the indie film directed by Larry Clark, “Wassup Rockers”. It was while handling the sale of the film’s worldwide rights that she discovered her passion for film sales. In August of that same year, Arianne became the Director of Foreign Sales and Distribution for First Look International. While there, she handled the sales of the company’s library which consists of over 800 titles and then-current film late that included: “Smiley Face” – starring Anna Faris and directed by Greg Araki, “An American Crime” – starring Catherine Keener and Ellen Page and “The Breed” – starring Taryn Manning and produced by the late Wes Craven.

In 2008, Arianne became the VP of International Sales and Distribution with Arsenal Pictures. Her main focus while there was on the acquisition of completed content for the worldwide sales market. It was just a few years later that she realized that it was time to exercise her entrepreneurial spirit and become her own boss with the creation of Highland Film Group (HFG). She partnered with Delphine Perrier who previously worked at Paramount Vantage, Odd Lot International and Mandate Pictures. The powerhouse team at Highland showcases some major talent, such as the sleeper hit “Instructions Not Included” – directed and starring Eugenio Derbez. This film grossed over $44 Million at the U.S. box office. Other notable productions are: “Revenge for Jolly” – Starring Kristen Wiig, Elijah Wood and Ryan Phillippe, “The Baytown Outlaws” – with Billy Bob Thorton and Eva Longoria and “Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You” – with Ellen Burstyn, Lucy Liu and Marcia Gay Harden.

Along with her producing and sales talents, Arianne has financed several films with her partner Delphine using invaluable techniques such as: “Barely Lethal” – starring Hailee Steinfeld, Samuel L. Jackson and Jessica Alba, “Extraction” – starring Bruce Willis, “Jackie & Ryan” – starring Katherine Heigl and Ben Barnes, “The Trust” – starring Nicholas Cage and Jerry Lewis and many others. Their experience in the industry, coupled with a sense for what audiences want is what makes Highland Film Group a growing presence in the industry.
