The Associate of Fine Arts in Cinema provides you with hands-on, practical experience with the basic technical, creative, and business elements involved in creating visual content for film and television. You’ll learn from learn from a distinguished faculty of filmmakers and creative professionals, many of whom continue to work in film and television development, production, and post production. A broad foundation of liberal arts and sciences courses taught by a diverse general education faculty with rich academic backgrounds in the liberal arts and sciences exposes you to the wider world of thought and ideas that enable critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and the ability to communicate your ideas and opinions effectively.

Depending on your interests, you’ll be equipped to begin your film career in a wide variety of entry-level roles. Most important, the AFA Cinema program provides the essential, practical skills, experience, and knowledge you’ll need to create your own entrepreneurial career path in the vast arena of visual storytelling.
